All Day I Write

Since I couldn't get enough of this track. I took the instrumental and wrote a poem to it, it ended up sounding a bit more songy than poetic. But Lyrically the piece is written as a poem. "Who's judging me? | I keep it simple wouldn't you agree? | They still attempin' to step down my game.| I write for passion and not for the fame"

"What's in my brain? | It is unknown, but I'm feelin' insane. | Twisted logic, I'm confused again. | No one to turn to, I pick up my pen."

Compromise

There comes a time when man has to decide whether want to wallow in solitude (puh loneliness) or do something we all love to be too proud to execute. Compromise. Not settle, but compromise. You can compromise on a decision without it becoming a settlement. So, when a man does figure a compromise is inevitable to endure companionship, they have to know it's a slippery slope. A cancellation on trip to Brazil is the beginning. Then night outs become limited, friends, hobbies, sports, extracurricular activites (you know what I mean). So yes, compromise, (sacrifice sounds too life changing for me) in order to suffer, I mean embrace happiness with another.

New York, in the gray, in the cold, is still so beautiful
the aged gum stains on the pavement,
the rustling papers caught on edges of forgotten things
The diversity
The pride
The who's who, but you move to fast to care
the unlimited metro cards
the food.

Best Week Ever 1

Dad said he preferred someone for me, (first time ever)

I may have severed a (fragile) friendship, just by being a guy.

Spring is peering right around the corner

I watched the first episode of "For the Love of Ray J" and he's high as a kite.

Studying for the praxis is KILLING my creative vibe.

This time last year I was PACKING for Canada... this time... well I haven't left the building... yet.

I feel like the poetry game has been slackin'.

And thats th3rd's best week ever

Learning

They say you gain something from everything in life. More importantly you learn lessons, and gain knowledge from mistakes and faults. They in life, do not own regrets, they will own you. So, instead of regretting a particular situation or outcome, take the necessary points from it in order to strengthen your next situation. Well, put this in terms of relationships and I can say I have "learned" a lot and gained a great sense of character from being in the relationship. AT first I was going to go over some of those things pertaining to the particular relationships, but I think I'll write a poem about, and it won't be on here. Maybe I will perform it at my next event, or maybe it will be in my next book of poems.
